Eucharistic Adoration

Come visit our Eucharistic Lord waiting for you...

A committed Adorer is somebody who signs up to be at the chapel at a particular hour(s) on a particular day(s) each week for one hour.

Each day has a person in charge called a “captain”. This person helps you if you have to find a substitute. We have a very helpful electronic system and a list of people who have signed up to be substitutes. If you cannot make your hour, notify the captain and he or she will help you. If your circumstances change and you need to back out of the hour or find another hour, the captain can help you with that as well.  When you sign up for a weekly holy hour you receive a packet of information that includes contact information for your captain.

Perhaps becoming a substitute would be the way to go! Each time a person submits a substitute request through AdorationPro, you receive an email. You are free to accept the request (and then go to adoration at that hour/day) or simply delete the email. Having a large group of substitutes is helpful because it does provide a great backup for committed adorers. If you would like to become a substitute, click here to signup.

Each committed adorer receives a helpful packet with lots of practical information as well as some great ways to spend your hour before Jesus in the Eucharist. It is a great time to pray a rosary, prayerfully read scripture or some other spiritual book (we have a great library for you to borrow books during adoration), pray a Divine Mercy Chaplet, or just sit/kneel with our Lord present.

Yes. During the day the chapel is unlocked, but during the night time hours there is a lock with a code. Committed adorers and substitutes are provided the code. Local police routinely drive by and stop in the parking lot. An emergency phone is also available and emergency services are aware of the chapel’s location and have access.

The first is the obvious—you have put our Lord on your calendar each week in addition to going to Sunday Mass! All committed adorers routinely receive helpful reading material. Every 2nd Saturday morning of the month the 7:30am Mass is offered for committed adorers and benefactors of the chapel. If you sign up for adoration you get to spend that time with our Lord every week plus you receive the graces of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered for you and your intentions.

That’s great! Click  here to pick an hour and signup. You will receive an email every week 24 hours prior to your adoration spot. Each email comes with a link in case you need to find a substitute. You will be part of a great family connected through prayer and adoration of our Blessed Lord in the Holy Eucharist!

One does not need to be a parishioner of St Andrew parish. We have committed adorers coming from all over the area.

If you want to use the automatic sub find service, click here. You will need to use the password located in your weekly reminder emails. If you cannot remember who your captain is, contact Terri Roy, the chapel organizer. She will point you in the right direction. Please call (814) 288 4324 Ext 6 to reach Terri Roy, the chapel organizer. You may also email her at terriamroy@gmail.com

The Adoration chapel is located immediately to the right of the entrance that is at the base of the bell tower. You will see a sign that says “Adoration chapel”. The chapel is regularly scheduled Sunday evening until Saturday morning. We have started opening the chapel after the 10:30 Sunday Mass but that is currently requiring a week to week sign up. The committed adorers begin at 8pm Sunday and continues until 7:20am Saturday morning.

Absolutely! We would love to have you stop to visit. Perhaps you would feel called to become a committed adorer or become a substitute to help the chapel remain open for others. Others have committed and that is why it is possible for you to stop in.

No. You do not need to be a parishioner of St Andrew to stop in or to become a committed adorer.

Please for the gentlemen, wear long pants and a shirt that covers the shoulders. For the Women, please wear an outfit that covers the shoulders, covers the midsection, and goes to the knees. This important witness of modesty may require some sacrifice, but it is important and worth it. A few extra sweaters and shawls are available on the coat rack if you forget. This is very much on the honor system since there is not a guard at the door like in the churches in Rome (they will not allow people to enter who are not abiding by the dress code), but remember your guardian angel sees how you dress. He would want you to dress your best for the great King in our midst! Here is an opportunity to live a little bit of penance and sacrifice that our Blessed Mother reminds us to live daily.

Yes! I would like to commit to some time of Adoration
